The story of Lawry’s began in 1913 when Lawrence L. Frank married into the Van De Kamp family. This close family connection led to the establishment of a joint family business, which is now managed by the fourth generation of the family.
Lawry’s The Prime Rib opened its first restaurant in 1938 on La Cienega Boulevard in Beverly Hills. For over 80 years, the restaurant has been known for its distinctive dining experience, particularly its hand-carved tableside service for Roasted Prime Ribs of Beef. Another unique feature of the restaurant is Lawry’s signature spinning bowl salad show.
